Information Communication Technology

“All students will leave school as confident, creative and productive users of new technologies, including ICT, and understand the impact of those technologies in society.”
(DECS Strategic Plan for Learning and Business Technologies 2006-2010 p. 4)

At Aldinga Primary School, Information Communication Technology (ICT) is embedded in all curriculum areas. It is a key element in the Site Learning Plan in relation to student engagement. Our school has PCs and Macintosh computers, laptops, Interactive Whiteboards and technologies to enable students to attain learning in all areas using current ICTs.

Students at Aldinga Primary School adhere to a Student Computer Network/Internet R-7 Licence Certificate. They also abide by the school values of Respect, Optimism, Caring, Generosity and Honesty when using ICT equipment.

Many members of the staff are part of the student engagement focus group. An aspect of their role is to continually develop, critique and expand the needs of the school’s ICT facilities and programs in regard to student learning.

All students have access to the Aldinga Primary School curriculum server, Intranet and the Internet. The schools webpage opens up student access to Edport  which enables them to view work, and email staff at school and from home.
