Governing Council

The Governing Council is made up of elected or nominated members of the school community (mainly parents), the Principal and staff representatives.

The Governing Council and its sub-committees, represent the school community, and after consultation, make decisions on local educational issues, strategic planning and allocation of resources.

Governing Council members are elected (or nominated in the case of community representatives) excepting the Principal. Members will be elected by ballot from the school community. The Staff Representatives will be elected each year by peer ballot.

The Governing Council holds 2 meetings a term, as well as one meeting per term which focuses on  the Site Learning Plan.

Parents also have an opportunity to become involved in Governing Council sub-committees. There are a range of sub-committees including Fundraising, Finance and Grounds.

Governing Council keep parents informed of their activities through the School Newsletter.
