The school is serviced by two Departmental buses
(Numbers 1259 and 1359) that provide transportation to and from the school for
students who live in the local area. Students are automatically eligible
for bus travel if they live more than 5 kilometres from the school, which
includes the areas around Sellicks Beach and Sellicks Hill. Buses travel
along either South Road or the Esplanade, along Norman and Justs Road and then
onto Sellicks Beach Road, stopping at various pick up and drop off points.
If either bus is not full at a given time, students
within the 5 kilometre zone can be granted permission from the Principal to
travel on the buses, with the understanding that should the number of eligible
students increase outside the 5 kilometre zone then this service will be
withdrawn. All such requests for travel within the 5 kilometre zone need to be
in writing to the Principal stating reasons for this request. (extenuating
circumstances).
All students are expected to abide by a Code of Conduct when travelling
on the buses to ensure the safety of the driver and all travellers. All
parents/caregivers of students travelling on the buses receive confirmation of
bus travel as well as expectations and consequences regarding bus travel. |
